The Goddess of Luo River

$169.00

The painting is based on Cao Zhi’s “The Goddess of Luo River”, depicting the love story between Cao Zhi and the Goddess of Luo River. It is divided into three parts to show the narrative technique of alternating time and space. The lines are like “spring silkworms spinning silk”, reflecting the characteristics of early landscape paintings “people are bigger than mountains, and water cannot be flooded”.

Current status: The existing copy is from the Song Dynasty, stored in the Palace Museum in Beijing.

The Nymph of the Luo River transcends art to become a metaphysical interface—mediating between humanity and divinity, chaos and order, mortality and eternity. To collect it is to harness water’s yin essence, commune with celestial archetypes, and participate in the alchemy of cultural immortality. Like the goddess herself, the painting exists in liminal space, offering glimpses of the Dao’s ineffable mystery.
